During the Japanese occupation, the Japanese government opened a public school in the Confucius Temple, when Storehouse of Books and Records turned into the east and west book repositories. Later, the east book repository turned into the Yi Cheng School and the west one Storehouse of Books and Records and remained closed to the public. At present, the buildings housing the Yi Cheng School and Storehouse of Books and Records remain as they were between (1985) and (1986), that is to say, in 3 facades and the one in the middle with a double-panel door, as a structure of simple construction and decoration.
